Cowboys trying to get themselves healthy this week

The Cowboys were missing the same 10 players at practice Wednesday. They hope most of them return next week.

Kicker David Buehler was on the field stretching, but he said he would not try to kick until next week. Receiver Miles Austin, fullback Tony Fiammetta, cornerback Orlando Scandrick, guard Derrick Dockery and defensive end Jason Hatcher were all out with injuries they've had for a week or more.

Safety Gerald Sensabaugh, who left Sunday's game against the Lions with a concussion, was also out. Safety Barry Church, who suffered a dislocated shoulder on Sunday, did not practice. Safety Danny McCray and guard Kyle Kosier also missed practice. Neither was on the injury report last week.

"We have a number of guys on our team who are just going to try to get themselves healthy this week," Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said Wednesday morning. "...We wanted to make sure that we did the right thing with some of our players who have been banged up. They got some conditioning in. They got some individual work in. But if they were hurting in any way, we wanted to make sure we gave some other guys an opportunity to step in there."
