These drug tests are RANDOM people. I'm sure every one has left their wallet at the house one morning or forgotten their ID misplaced in a pair of jeans from the night before. Drug test can not be administered without a legal ID. these were reported as "failed" bc Murray and Dez were unable to test not because they are using or have ever used drugs. Quit jumping to conclusions and making statements about the character of people you don't know

How do you drive to work without your ID?

Sounds like these athletes have found a loophole. Don't want to be tested. Smoked some weed over the weekend? Still got THC in your blood system. Not a problem. Just simply leave your ID at home. Catch you guys next time. How irresposible. Carry your wallet. Carry your ID. Be professional, be grown up. Stop the pandering!

Some of you guys need to go back and actually read the article. The test didn't come back positive for finding anything illegal in their systems. They just didn't have their ID's with them when the test was administered so the test gets listed as "failed" u ntil they can prove it was actually they who the test was adminstered to.

Uhhhhhhh, I'm a med tech with 16 years experience. If Dez didn't have an ID they would NEVER had collected the urine sample to test. Sumpin's rotten in the state of Dallas, TX

All Dez needs is someone to teach him maturity and the team concept his talent is undeniable. Could you imagine our offensive strenth with Austin and Witten if we could get Dez on the same page thinking team first? I don't even know what drug he failed over, probably pot. I for one dont care if all of them smoke but with it not allowed he needs to think team first play his 6 or 7 years then smoke all he wants, Like anyone thinking TEAM first would do!

Shady, Frank...
You are missing Glenn's point. It has nothing to do with a missing ID or the fact the Cowboys are the most scrutinized team in the NFL. The point he is trying to make is why is the scouting staff recommending the Cowboys draft these players in the first and third rounds if they cannot pass a drug test! Regardless of the snafu with the ID, the bottom line is they FAILED A DRUG test and the Cowboys have spent 2 high picks on questionable character guys. Everyone is always saying that Bryant hasn't done anything wrong....it's only saggy pants...its only a misunderstanding about a bad debt...its only a banishment from the local mall...its only an argument with a woman at a restaurant...its only a parking ticket...its only refusing to leave the mall when asked by police...He's never broken the law....
They are all warning signs and this invalid drug test is the biggest warning sign yet!!!!!!

So he didn't have his ID and that means the failed test never happened. Shouldn't that count as a missed test?

@Glenn Guillory, hold on Glenn, this happens all the time in the NFL, like a lot, especially the rookies; now Glenn, you mean you have never forgot your DL before? Remember this is the Dallas Cowboys and if someone passes gas, the freaking media will "BLOW" it into a major story. If this had happen to Romo, the media will have Romo labeled as a drug dealer, just because it's Romo. There are no other QB's or teams to report on except Dallas Cowboys. The last game the eagles lost, Vick tossed 3 Int's and Deion gave Vick a pass saying it was some esle's fault.
So take a deep breath all is A OK.

@ Glenn Guillory - calm down! These are regular tests that all players have to take!! If anything, the club should have advised them that ID was required. You, my man Glenn G need to take a deep breath, calm down and GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF before jumping to conclusions!!

Who in the Cowboys organization is looking into the background of these draft picks?? Fire the ENTIRE scouting department at the end of this season!!
