Martellus Bennett hosting Halloween Charity event for kids

Cowboys tight end Martellus Bennett is hosting a Halloween Charity event Monday evening at the Hard Rock Cafe in Dallas from 6:30-10 p.m.

The event benefits needy families for the holidays through Bennett's Truly Blessed Foundation.

“My friends and I decided to give back because we have a heart for needy families during the holidays,”  Bennett said. “We are looking forward to making their holiday a little better.”

Bennett said it will fun for all ages, including trick or treat stations, a silent auction, raffles, live music, costume contests and give aways.

Several of his Cowboys teammates will be attendance including cornerback Terence Newman and receiver Jesse Holley.

The event is co-sponsored by Six Flags, McDonald’s, Pepsi and Frito Lay. Adult tickets are being sold for a donation of $10. Children are $5.
