It was not the way Laurent Robinson had dreamed of scoring his first touchdown. Yeah, it was a 70-yard score. But it came in garbage time. The Cowboys trailed 27-0 when Robinson scored on a touchdown pass from Tony Romo.
"We just called a simple out route with [tight end Jason] Witten," Robinson said. "I’m just going up the boundary, and we saw Asante [Samuel] to kind of squat on it, and we just took a chance and threw it over the top."
Robinson's touchdown, which came with 12:44 left in the game, helped the Cowboys avoid their first shutout since 2003.
“We just needed a spark on offense,” Robinson said in the quiet of the locker room. “That was a big play for us and tried to get going after that. I don’t know….”
