Cowboys cut rookie punter, re-sign Loper

The Cowboys released rookie punter Chris Jones on Tuesday, signaling they believe Mat McBriar will be OK playing with nerve damage in his left foot. McBriar was needed for only one punt Sunday.
The Cowboys re-signed veteran offensive guard Daniel Loper. Loper, a fifth-round draft pick of the Titans, has been on and off the roster this season. The Texas Tech product has started nine games and played in 58. He has yet to play his first game for the Cowboys.

Comments

How about signing a linebacker or two. Brooking and James are worthless.
