McGee will be backup on Sunday against Redskins, injured Kitna doesn't make trip

Third-string quarterback Stephen McGee will serve as Tony Romo's primary backup against the Redskins on Sunday, replacing an injured Jon Kitna.

Kitna missed practice with week with a sore back. The Cowboys listed him as doubtful on the injury report. Any hopes of him giving it ago on Sunday were nixed when he didn't make the trip to Washington with the rest of his teammates on Saturday afternoon.
