The Cowboys made a roster move on Saturday, signing punter Chris Jones from the practice squad and releasing guard Daniel Loper.
The move necessary because of punter Mat McBriar continues to be hobbled by nerve damage in his left (plant) foot. According to the Cowboys trainers, McBriar has drop foot. He had kicked some in practice on Thursday and Friday and they had hoped he would be able to go on Sunday against the Seahawks and not force them to have to make a roster move to add Jones.
But clearly the Cowboys didn't fool good enough about McBriar's abilty to kick on Sunday, thus prompting the move with Jones.

Just IR McBriar. The replacement punter was EXCELLENT..Now that teams no what he can do, as soon as McBriar returns Jones will get cut. He will get scooped up and we'll be hoping McBriar can make it through the rest of the season. Let him go to IR and we'll have both these guys...Besides, isnt it time to kill the Buehler experiment. He's not doing anything special even with a short field...I dont understand...Bailey does almost the same thing.
