Dez Bryant put together one of the best all-around games of his career last week, an eight-catch effort against Arizona. It looks like he is coming on fast in his second season.
“He’s going to be the best receiver in the league pretty soon,” fellow Cowboys receiver Laurent Robinson said. “He just keeps working on his craft, getting better every day, finishing routes. ... His hands, size, body control, awareness, catching deep balls. He’s just a great player.”
Bryant is the Cowboys’ second-leading receiver, with 46 catches for 706 yards, a 15.3 average, and seven touchdowns. His receiving yards are the second-most on the team, and he and Robinson each have a team-high seven touchdown catches.
Robinson said nobody on the team is surprised by Bryant’s production.
“He makes some crazy, unbelievable catches in practice every day,” he said. “It’s routine to us. To everybody else, it’s a spectacular catch. He just has to keep working, keep getting better, and he’s going to get where he wants to be.”
