Jerry Jones did not hang around long after the Cowboys’ 37-34 loss to the New York Giants.
He offered a short statement for reporters:
“Hats off to the Giants. They didn’t quit. They were able to come back and played well and got the win. We are disappointed, and we certainly know we have our work cut out for us.”
That’s saying the least. The Cowboys have to find a running back. Their center has a concussion. Four players on defense played through injuries.
And they’ve lost sole possession of the NFC East lead.

I think the Cowboys no know how low it can get but do not feel too bad. The Giants will lose one or two of their next few games and the Cowboys are still masters of their own fate. Just win out and you are in.
