NEW YORK -- Baylor receiver Kendall Wright disputes a Pro Football Weekly report that he has 16 percent body fat.
“Right when they said that, I had just left visiting a team, and my body fat was 8.4,” Wright said. “I find it all humorous, because people don’t know what they’re talking about.”
Wright, who set Baylor’s single-season receiving records last season with 108 catches for 1,663 yards and 14 touchdowns, has no idea where he will go. But he knows he will have an impact.
Wright had 19 plays of 25 yards or more, according to STATS, leading the nation in explosive receptions. That negated any fear about his speed after he ran a 4.61 in the 40 at the NFL Scouting Combine. (He ran a 4.43 at Baylor’s Pro Day.)
“I feel like I can make a lot of big plays and I can do it from the slot, outside receiver, punt returner or kick returner,” Wright said. “Whatever a team needs me to do to make plays.”
