The Cowboys released Kai Forbath, who never kicked for them after spending last season rehabbing. He is the second kicker the Cowboys have released this off-season. Dallas parted ways with David Buehler in March.
That leaves Dan Bailey as the only kicker on the roster.
After beating out a slew of veteran kickers in the preseason, Bailey was 32-for-37 with four game-winners in his rookie season. He even proved capable enough to handle kickoffs that he made Buehler expendable.
Forbath was signed Aug. 2 and had been expected to be among the contenders for the job last year. But a quadriceps injury kept him on the sideline for the season.
