Danny Coale was drafted as a receiver. He is expected to compete for the No. 3 receiver spot. But he also has punting experience, which he showed the Cowboys with a punt in special teams practice on Saturday morning.
"I punted one today just to get it on film," Coale said. "It wasn't very good. We'll concentrate on receiver for right now, and if the time comes to add that, it can be a discussion for later."
Coale punted and place-kicked at Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Va., while also playing defensive back and receiver. He was called on to be a punter at Virginia Tech twice last season. The second time he was asked was before the Virginia game, with freshman punter Michael Branthover mired in a slump. The Hokies ranked 118th out of 120 schools in punting at the time.
Coale ended up punting 13 times for a 43.5-yard average with a long of 61.

It will take me some time but I can go back and look at my game films, have about 95% of the games from Danny's era on dvd.

Remember when Danny White was our punter ? He would often be mad after a failed 3rd down and end up running from punt formation for a 1st down. I dont know what his success percentage was but I am guessing it was about 75%... Would love some verification on this. Go Cowboys !!!
