After leading the NFC East in pre-season trash talk last season, Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan is happy that owner Jerry Jones is the man wearing the target on his back in the 2012 training camp.
Jones urged fans to “watch us beat the New York Giants’ asses” during Monday’s official ceremony to open camp. A year ago, Ryan took a poke at the Philadelphia Eagles’ “all-hype team” and predicted the Cowboys were “going to beat their ass when we play them.” Philly swept both 2011 meetings.
Asked after Tuesday’s practice about Jones’ comments, Ryan said: “I’d rather it be him than me. Because he’s the man.”
