Bernadeau to have conditioning test today, Garrett targeting SD game for his pre-season debut

Cowboys offensive lineman Mackenzy Bernadeau will take part in his conditioning test before this afternoon’s workout to determine if he will be released to return to workouts. Coach Jason Garrett said Bernadeau, a projected starter at guard who also will work at center, probably will not play in his first pre-season game until Aug. 18 at San Diego. Garrett said coaches are targeting the San Diego game as the exhibition game debut for rookie receiver Danny Coale, who recently came off the PUP list after rehabilitating a foot injury.

Garrett said the majority of the 18 players who did not take part in Sunday’s Blue-White scrimmage probably will miss the team’s pre-season opener, Aug. 13 at Oakland.
