Dallas Cowboys linebacker Dan Connor is in his first training camp with the team, which means his first extended exposure to team owner Jerry Jones. Thus far, Jones has had three different actors drop by camp (George Eads, Michael Rappaport, Rob Lowe) and has been a daily presence on the sideline, often hanging out with former college teammates from Arkansas.
Jones even gave the players a pep talk before their first workout in Oxnard. Connor, who spent the past four seasons with Carolina, has found that different _ and refreshing.
“That’s definitely new to me,” Connor said. “He gave us a talk the first day here and that was interesting. He’s a guy that’s going to do anything good for the franchise. And that’s great to see. You feel the love from the front office and you want to win for him. That’s a big thing, when you want to win for your boss. It drives me big time.”
