Cowboys guard Bill Nagy will be headed to North Carolina next week to visit a foot specialist in regard to his injured ankle, coach Jason Garrett said today. Garrett said there are concerns about long-term implications that the examination should clear up.
“It’s certainly to examine the foot first. I think there’s a feeling that he’ll probably need surgery,” Garrett said. “We’ll see the extent of it.”
Garrett said guard Kevin Kowalski, who is nursing a high ankle sprain, remains in a cast but will not need surgery. Garrett has indicated that both players are not expected to play in the pre-season and the start of the regular season could be in jeopardy for both.
