Cornerback Mike Jenkins is not ready to practice yet, according to a team source with the Cowboys, following his visit with the doctor who performed his shoulder surgery.
Jenkins left camp to visit Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala., on Monday to get an assessment of the shoulder surgery.
He was not cleared to practice, the unnamed Cowboys official said.
Jenkins has not practiced at all in the offseason or training camp. His returned is now delayed indefinitely. The Cowboys had hoped he would be able to practice and play by the final preseason game and be ready to go for the season opener Sept. 5 at the New York Giants.

The doctor makes him move his arm this way and that way says "How's that feel?" And Jenkins thinks to himself -"if I say it feels good I'll have to play. If I say it still hurts I can milk this"

Jery, Jerry, Jerry..Jenkins is going to milk his injury status until you wise up and get rid of his sorry behind. He's a little kid pouting because you drafted a rookie to compete and probably take his starting job. Instead of manning up and accepting the challenge he cried "trade me". If his shoulder has not healed by now it never will. Cut him and put him on the un-employment line without a steady paycheck. Then see how fast that shoulder comes around....
