The Cowboys and Giants long have traded barbs before their games. Patrick Crayton, Flozell Adams, Justin Tuck and Brandon Jacobs all have shown, in one or another, their distaste for the other. Now, it's Mathias Kiwanuka firing back at Jerry Jones.
The Cowboys owner told fans at training camp on July 30 that" “Y'all should come to Cowboys Stadium and watch us beat the Giants' asses.”
The Cowboys don't host the Giants until Oct. 28 when they'll try finally to beat the New Yorkers at Cowboys Stadium, but the two teams start the season Wednesday at MetLife.
"He should [want to beat the Giants],” Kiwanuka said in an interview Thursday morning on WFAN via the New York Daily News. “I mean, the Giants have been whupping his ass for a long time.”
The Giants have won seven of the past nine meetings between the teams. The Cowboys' only victory the past three seasons was a 33-20 win at Giants Stadium on Nov. 14, 2010. The Giants are 3-0 at Cowboys Stadium.
What hurts Jones even more is the Giants have two Super Bowl titles the past five seasons.
“It’s got to be tough on the outside looking in on all of these championships lately,” Kiwanuka said on the radio. "That's the feeling I feel like everybody in the league has, and what they should have, because when you're on top and everybody should be wanting to knock you off.”
