Cornerback Brandon Carr signed a five-year, $50.1 million contract to join the Cowboys and has been one of the team's least talked about players.
That's cause Carr is a low key player who doesn't draw attention to himself and because of all the drama surrounding top pick Morris Claiborne and backup Mike Jenkins, who asked to be traded in the offseason.
But make no mistake about, Carr is the team's best cornerback and will be one of the league's best defenders in 2012.
Defensive coordinator Rob Ryan said Carr was the best player, not best defender or cornerback, in free agency.
“He was the best player in free agency by far, not even close,” Ryan said.
He also said he has been everything the Cowboys expected in more through five days of camp.
“This guy has been everything we expected,” Ryan said. “He’s a leader, he helps the other guys around him and the other thing is he’s a tough kid. He’s given us everything we wanted as a team. We need smart and tough, and that’s exactly what he is, and he’s competitive. You see him knocking receivers off the line of scrimmage.

I agree Glenn, line him up on press man, punch them right in the mouth and let the safety get top side coverage while Carr makes the undercut for the pick!

I want Rob to put Brandon Carr on Victor Cruz and DeSean Jackson in man to man defense. He has those two where ever they line up on the field.
