Romo lauds Carr for interception, downplays concerns about Austin's hamstring

Dallas Cowboys quarterback was philosophical about today’s interception by cornerback Brandon Carr against him during a team period. Romo threw for Dez Bryant but Carr zipped in, undercut the route, and made the play.

“He got inside on a coverage that he really shouldn’t. That’s a great and terrible sign at the same time,” Romo said. “So I’m excited about that. If he can get there and do things like that, that’s going to help us a lot.”

Romo also said he was not too worried about receiver Miles Austin’s latest hamstring ailment, which coach Jason Garrett said is expected to keep him out for about a week. Miles missed six games with hamstring issues last season.

“I think Miles has worked his butt off. He’s in great shape,” Romo said. “He works so hard that he puts a lot of stress on it. This one, hopefully, will be the last time. He works so hard that, in a couple of days, he’ll be fine.”

I can't think of a Cowboy wide receiver who has been more fragile than Miles Austin.

Gaurantee Miles "Hamstring" Austin misses six games - at least - again.

Miles Austin = SOFT!

Let this be known, he shows flashes at tiems, but essentially he is living off one year and smiling while dropping passes does not cut it.

This ailment is becoming chronic.

No worries about Romo and a pick. He'll be fine, but great news hearing Carr has that ability!! We need a corner that can make a few picks. It's even more exciting to hear he did it aginst Dez and Romo. That's not a bad pair to pick the ball on!

Keep working Cowboys, can't wait to see the improvements this year!
