Asked after today’s workout to assess the Dallas Cowboys’ hopes to reach a Super Bowl this season, quarterback Tony Romo pointed to the blueprint laid out last season by the New York Giants and indicated it is one that gives hope to the Cowboys. The Giants won the NFC East with a 9-7 record, one game better than Dallas (8-8), then ran the table in the playoffs to claim an NFL title.
“The division is always strong. What you realize now is that if you can just get out of the division and get in the playoffs, you can win the Super Bowl,” Romo said.
How close are these Cowboys to getting there?
“We’ll see,” Romo said. “I think we’re building to get there. We’re excited.”
