Cochart ruled out for NY Giants game

The Cowboys have ruled out tight end Colin Cochart, acquired off waivers Saturday from Cincinnati, for Wednesday's game against the New York Giants. He will not travel with the team to New York, meaning the list of tight ends on the travel squad will be limited to three: starter Jason Witten, whose availability is unclear because of a ruptured spleen, and backups John Phillips and James Hanna. Witten is scheduled to undergo a CT scan today that will help determine his availability for the contest. If Witten cannot play, Phillips will start, with Hanna as the lone backup.

Now that's just plain STUPID! If anything Witten should miss this game and Cochart should be the #3 man. We can afford to let Witten miss one game, but if he goes out there and gets hurt again we're up the proverbial creek with no paddle.
