“I thought our team was really well-conditioned, and I thought that was a big part of our ability to finish in all three phases,” Garrett said during today’s news conference at Valley Ranch. “It was hot and humid up there, but relative to what we’ve been practicing in, it really was kind of a cool do. So I think that worked to our advantage as well.
In terms of an injury update, Garrett said starting center Phil Costa _ who left the game after three snaps with a back injury _ will get an MRI today and his availability will be determined based on the results. Garrett said other players dealing with injuries who are expected to practice Monday include running back Felix Jones (ribs) and safety Danny McCray (neck). He said coaches are “hopeful” that cornerback Mike Jenkins (shoulder) will practice Monday.
Players will watch videotapes of the Giants game on Friday, then have two days off before returning to practice on Monday.
