Jerry Jones visits pressbox minutes before kickoff, says 'I think we'll see vintage Jason Witten'

Jerry Jones walked through the pressbox 15 minutes before game time, and he was beaming to talk about Jason Witten.

"We expect him to perform," Jones said. "He’s practiced all week, and I think we'll see vintage Jason Witten."

If it is, that's good news for the Cowboys, who didn't know whether to expect their seven-time Pro Bowl tight end for weeks after his spleen injury on Aug. 13. But it looked like he was on his way to playing in his 140th consecutive game.

Pretty big lift, Jones agreed.

"Well, of course. We all know how important he is to our team's success. It's just great."
