Sean Lee ties club record for tackles, three others set career highs in dubious effort vs. Seattle

In what was a performance he and the rest of the defense would likely want to forget, linebacker Sean Lee tied a club record with 21 tackles in 27-7 loss to the Seahawks.

His effort, which included 15 solo tackles, tied a record set by Lee Roy Jordan in 1971.

Lee wasn’t the only one who recorded a career high in tackles while allowing the Seahawks to rush a whopping 41 times for 181 yards on Sunday.

Linebackers DeMarcus Ware and Bruce Carter also had personal bests of 13 tackles in the game. Linebacker Anthony Spencer tied a career high with 10 and defensive lineman Sean Lissemore had a career-high nine tackles.

Again, the numbers are more indicative of the Cowboys not being able to get off the field because they couldn’t stop the run and having to play a ton of snaps rather than all having stellar defensive efforts against the Seahawks.

Somebody had to make the tackles even if many of them were down field.
