Spears, Coleman, Sensabaugh missing for start of practice, but Church works

Marcus Spears, Kenyon Coleman and Gerald Sensabaugh did not come out for practice during the part open to reporters.

Spears and Coleman suffered knee injuries last week against Seattle, and Sensabaugh injured his calf.

But safety Barry Church was practicing. He said Monday he would be ready to play this week despite a deep thigh bruise that knocked him out of last week’s game.

Nose tackle Jay Ratliff was on the field but not dressed. Safety Matt Johnson, linebacker Alex Albright and center Phil Costa were dressed but not in pads.

The Cowboys opened the practice to reporters five minutes later than usual. There were no kickoff returns during the open period.
