Witten expects to be back his old self Sunday

Tight end Jason Witten played in the season opener against the Giants less than a month after suffering a lacerated spleen.

He was on the field but didn’t have his usual impact with just two catches and a couple of penalties. Although he still has some discomfort from the injury,  he expects to return to the form that made him a seven-time Pro Bowler Sunday against the Seahawks Sunday.

“I feel good,” Witten said. “It’s there. There’s no question in that but I feel like the more and more now with practice and getting out there, I’ll get back to my normal self here this week.”
