Brian Moorman returns to practice as the team's other punter sits out

Linebacker Anthony Spencer (pectoral) and punter Brian Moorman (groin) returned to practice Wednesday. The Cowboys' injury report later today will indicate how much Spencer practices, but it is not expected to be a full practice. Spencer practiced on a limited basis last Wednesday and then sat out the rest of the week and his second consecutive game.

Punter Chris Jones, who had one punt last week despite a sprained knee, wasn't at practice. Jones was injured on a hit in the Tampa Bay game, and the Cowboys signed Moorman as a temporary replacement. But Mooreman injured his groin during warmups before last Wednesday's practice.

Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said Jones has had no setbacks after the game.

"He did a good job in the game," Garrett said. "He only had one opportunity to punt in the game, but he moved around better, and he punted well in warmups and had a real good punt in the ball game. But again, we still monitor him day to day and make sure he’s doing OK. He’s had no setbacks, though."

Defensive lineman Sean Lissemore (ankle), center Ryan Cook (hamstring) and running back DeMarco Murray (foot) were not at practice and are not likely to play Sunday against the Panthers.

Cornerback Mike Jenkins (shoulder) and cornerback Morris Claiborne (knee), both of whom had MRIs on Monday, were at practice.
