JUST CHILL: NFL Picks of the Week; The Hot Streak Rolls On

THURSDAY, OCT. 25

BUCCANEERS AT VIKINGS

The Vikings are a flawed team, but they are tough and unbeaten at home. Running back Adrian Peterson is too much. Vikings, 20-14

SUNDAY, OCT. 28

DOLPHINS AT JETS

The Jets didn’t beat the Patriots last week, but they showed they still have some fight. That will be enough to top the Dolphins at home. Jets, 24-17

CHARGERS AT BROWNS

This is a must-win for Norv Turner and the Chargers. They have had two weeks to prepare and lick their wounds. They will get it done. Chargers, 28-20

COLTS AT TITANS

The Titans have proved to be feisty of late. Chris Johnson is running well again, and Matt Hasselbeck has been a steadying influence at quarterback. Titans, 25-23

PATRIOTS AT RAMS

The Rams are tougher than expected in Jeff Fisher’s first year. So they will keep this one close. But in the end, it will be too much Tom Brady. Patriots, 28-21

JAGUARS AT PACKERS

Lambeau Field might as well be the Roman Coliseum. The Jaguars are being led to a slaughter. The Packers and Aaron Rodgers are beastly right now. Packers, 35-10

FALCONS AT EAGLES

Andy Reid and Michael Vick are feeling the heat. Look for Vick to bounce back against his former team, knocking them from the ranks of the undefeated. Eagles, 28-24

REDSKINS AT STEELERS

Robert Griffin III is taking the league by storm. He will be a handful for the Steelers’ aging defense. But Ben Roethlisberger has a few weapons of his own. Steelers, 24-21

SEAHAWKS AT LIONS

If Detroit is ever going to get well, the time is now. It won’t be easy against the Seahawks’ roguish defense. But they Lions are pretty dirty on defense as well. Lions, 20-16

PANTHERS AT BEARS

The Panthers are about to implode because of controversy surrounding Cam Newton and the firing of the general manager. It’s not a good recipe against the opportunistic Bears defense. Bears, 30-13

RAIDERS AT CHIEFS

Brady Quinn is the new starting quarterback in Kansas City. But look for him to lean on the dynamic Jamaal Charles to run wild against the Raiders. Chiefs, 20-17

GIANTS AT COWBOYS

The Giants have never lost at Cowboys Stadium. That fact won’t change against a Cowboys team playing without its two best young players in DeMarco Murray and Sean Lee. Giants, 30-24

SAINTS AT BRONCOS

The Saints need this win if they hope to continue to rebound from their horrible start. However, Peyton Manning has it working now and will be too tough at home. Broncos, 35-31

MONDAY, OCT. 29

49ERS AT CARDINALS

The Cardinals remain a mess at quarterback. It’s not a good look on national television against the 49ers and their ferocious defense. 49ers, 24-13

Last Week: 11-2

Season: 57-48
