Just CHILL: NFL Picks of the Week, Time to make a move
THURSDAY, OCT. 18
SEAHAWKS AT 49ERS
Let’s just face the truth. The Seahawks are for real. That defense is legit. But there is no way the 49ers drop two in a row at home. 49ers, 17-14
SUNDAY, OCT. 21
CARDINALS AT VIKINGS
This will be an ugly, low-scoring game. The Vikings are tough at home, and the Cards are in quarterback hell. Vikings, 14-10.
COWBOYS AT PANTHERS
This is as close to a must-win game for the Cowboys as you will see in October. The season is all but over with a loss. Cowboys, 20-10
SAINTS AT BUCCANEERS
The Saints may not have their Mojo back. But they do have their Vilma back, and they are good enough to beat the Bucs to get their second consecutive win. Saints, 28-17.
PACKERS AT RAMS
These are the same old Rams. But these are not the same Packers that struggled out of the gate. Aaron Rodgers has them rolling again. Packers, 30-20.
REDSKINS AT GIANTS
The Giants lost twice to the Redskins last year, so this again will be a struggle. But the defending Super Bowl champions are playing as well as anyone. Giants, 28-24.
RAVENS AT TEXANS
The banged-up Ravens were exposed as a flawed 5-1 team last week by the Cowboys. The Texans will finish the job with a dominant victory at home. Texans, 30-17.
TITANS AT BILLS
Buffalo showed a little heart last week in winning at Arizona. Now, they have a chance to stay in thick of AFC East race. Bills, 24-20.
BROWNS AT COLTS
Andrew Luck and the Colts got embarrassed on the road last week by the Jets. But they are a different team at home where they have won both games. Colts, 26-17.
JETS AT PATRIOTS
Don’t be fooled by the Jets' win over the Colts. The circus still is in town. The Patriots should bounce back from a tough loss to Seattle with a statement win. Patriots, 28-10.
JAGUARS AT RAIDERS
The Raiders gave a game away last week against the Falcons. The Jaguars are so bad they would give it back if the Raiders tried to give this one away. Raiders, 24-17.
STEELERS AT BENGALS
The Steelers are 0-3 on the road. Their offensive line is in shambles. The defense is old. And while the Bengals are not without their own issues, the Steelers are trending down. Bengals, 23-20.
MONDAY, OCT. 22
LIONS AT BEARS
Though the Lions got a comeback win over Eagles last week, something is still not right with the offense. The Bears are rolling and feel good. Bears, 23-14
Last week: 7-7
Season: 46-46
