Ratliff, Tango Tab teaming to feed needy families for Thanksgiving

Cowboys nose tackle Jay Ratliff is teaming up with the dining website, Tango Tab, to feed five needy familes for Thanksgiving.

Prospective families should submit video or written nominations on line at givingthanks.tangotab.com. The deadline is Nov. 16.

Tango Tab,  a dining website which allows you get free or discounted meals at more than 700 restaurants in the Dallas-Fort Worth area by downloading their app or signing up online, is already in the business of giving meals away to the needy.

Every time someone used their voucher for lunch or dinner at a participating restaurant, Tango Tab donated a meal to the local food pantry, whether it was the Dallas Food Bank or Meals on Wheels in Tarrant County.

Tango Tab has fed roughly 110,000 since launching in January, according to spokesman Andre Angel.
Ratliff's decision to join forces with Tango Tab hit close to home because because there were times when he was a kid that he stood in line to get food at the food bank. Helping to feed hungry families is a personal issue for him, Angel said.
