Sean Lee injures his right big toe, but he promises to be "ready to roll" next week

Linebacker Sean Lee left the game in the third quarter because of a sprained right big toe. He did not return.

“I couldn’t push off the way I needed to, couldn’t do my job the way I needed to,” Lee said. “Going to figure out what the deal is this week and make sure I’m rehabbing. I’ll be ready to roll.”

Lee said he hurt it making a tackle when someone landed on him and the toe bent back. He finished with six tackles and a pass defensed. Dan Connor replaced him, with Bruce Carter making the defensive calls.

"It’s frustrating, because you want to be out there," Lee said. "I just knew there was no way. I would be hurting the team if I was out there. It was one of those deals where I have a lot of confidence in Bruce to make the calls and Dan to step in and make plays and they did a great job."

Lee missed six plays in the Seattle game when he took an illegal hit from receiver Golden Tate.

"It’s just something you’ve got to be ready for," Carter said. "The same situation happened in the Seattle game. You’ve just got to be ready. You’ve got to step up. Everybody’s counting on you. You’ve got to do your job."
