Head coach Jason Garrett marveled at quarterback Tony Romo’s scramble -- in which he avoided three tacklers -- and throw to Miles Austin for a 25-yard gain on the drive that tied the game 17-17 in the third quarter.
“I think something that is so important is to be able to allow him to have that freedom to make those Romo-type plays, and that certainly was a great example of that,” Garrett said. “He’s got great vision. He’s got great feel for people around him. He always keeps his eyes up. He seems to be able to make a lot of those plays at critical moments.”
Romo finished with a quarterback rating of 122.1, extending his club record of such games to 46, two more than Troy Aikman.
