Country-club atmosphere at Valley Ranch? Garrett says, 'No comment ... we do things the way we do things here... '

Jimmy Johnson says the Cowboys are stuck in a country-club atmosphere at Valley Ranch and that no one is in fear for their jobs.

Jason Garrett, one of Johnson's former players, was asked about it at his Thursday morning press conference at Valley Ranch.

“I don’t really have any comment on that,” he said. “We do things the way we do things here from a football standpoint, and we believe that we practice the right way, we meet the right way and we create the right atmosphere of urgency for our players. It’s what I learned as a player and coach in this league, and that’s what we’re trying to create here as a football team.”

Hey Jason, listen to your old coach. He was much more successful than you have been. He might know a little about what he's talking about. And, if you feel that you are doing things the right way, you need to take a second and reflect about why your record is what it is. Route-running, blocking assignments, clock management, dropped passes...these are all fundamentals, and fundamentals falls squarely upon the coach and practice.
