Cowboys' K Bailey selected as NFC special teams player of week

Cowboys kicker Dan Bailey was selected today as the NFC special teams player of the week after making two clutch field goals in crunch time during last week’s 23-20 overtime victory over Cleveland.

Bailey, who has been perfect on field goals from inside 50 yards this season, connected from 32 yards with two seconds remaining to sent the game into overtime. He added the game-winner from 38 yards with 6:07 left in overtime.

Bailey, a second-year pro from Oklahoma State, also connected on a 44-yard field goal in the third quarter and accounted for 11 of the Cowboys’ 23 points in the contest

For his career, Bailey has converted 51 of 58 field goal attempts (87.9 pct) and is the most accurate kicker in Cowboys’ history
