According to multiple sources, the Cowboys are expected to sign veteran linebacker Gary Guyton to the roster on Wednesday to help shore up an injury ravaged position.
Guyton, a four-year veteran, worked out for the Cowboys are Tuesday and pending he doesn't fail the medical report, he will be added to the team.
His presence is necessary because of the injuries at inside linebacker where Dan Connor and Orie Lemon are hobbled by a strained shoulder and strained hamstring respectively. Connor missed last week's game against the Falcons and is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Eagles.
The Cowboys are already without Sean Lee, who had season ending surgery last week.
The Cowboys have only two healthy inside linebackers in Bruce Carter and Ernie Simms, who was signed to the roster just two weeks ago. The Cowboys will need to make a roster move to make room for Guyton.
