DeMarcus Ware didn't play a game Wednesday, but he did pick up a half sack to keep his consecutive sacks streak alive.
Elias announced it has changed statisticians’ ruling on a sack of Nick Foles at the end of Sunday’s game. Anthony Spencer originally was awarded the sack, but the league’s official statisticians split the sack between Spencer and Ware after the Cowboys requested the change.
That gives Ware a streak of seven games with at least half a sack. He had a 10-game streak in 2007-08.
Ware now is tied for third in the league with San Francisco’s Aldon Smith with 9.5. Houston defensive end J.J. Watt leads with 10.5 and former Texas A&M star Von Miller has 10.
