Cowboys coach Jason Garrett refused to get into the details of receiver Dez Bryant’s now resolved misdemeanor family violence case
He said the team has supported Bryant and his family throughout the process.
Garrett couldn’t assure fans that Bryant will stay out of trouble for a year _ per his agreement with the Dallas County District Attorney’s office that would get the case dismissed entirely. But Garrett said Bryant is already in anger management counseling _ another stipulation of the deal with the Dallas County DA _ and has vowed to do the right thing. He said Cowboys are doing everything they can to support him.
“We talk to Dez and all of our players about being the right kind of guy and doing the right things,” Garrett said. “In his case that is what he tries to do. We have a lot of programs in place for him and our players to do the right things. He is very aware of that. He works very hard to do that every day. We try to support him in those efforts.”
