The signs are building that DeMarco Murray is going to play Sunday.
First, owner Jerry Jones said on his radio show Friday, “It looks like that.”
Second, the running back spent part of Friday in a routine production meeting with the Sunday Night Football crew. It would be unusual for the crew to spend time with a player who was not going to play.
Jones said he was encouraged by the way Murray practiced.
“The key day was yesterday,” he said. “He came back from the day before. Usually, there’s a leveling off or setback day where you feel the effects. He didn’t have that.”
Cowboys coach Jason Garrett didn’t go that far, but even for his conservative nature in talking about injuries, he sounded optimistic.
“He’s looked pretty good,” Garrett said. “He’s been limited both days, but he’s been playing football. It’s nice to see him out there running the ball, catching the ball and doing stuff we haven’t seen him do in a while.”
