Despite a lengthy list of defensive injuries heading into Thursday’s game, Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan said the Cowboys will beat the Washington Redskins in Cowboys Stadium.
But Ryan later clarified that he is not guaranteeing a victory on Thanksgiving.
“We’re happy to be playing in this game. The whole country’s watching. They want to see America’s Team win and we’re going to,” Ryan said.
Asked if that was a guarantee, Ryan hedged.
“I never said anything the last time they said I guaranteed something,” Ryan said, referring to a comment earlier this season when he said the Cowboys were “going to” beat Atlanta heading into a 19-13 loss to the Falcons. “I know one thing. We’re going to have a Happy Thanksgiving. How’s that?”
