The Cowboys' December problems? Maybe it's the curse of the Bambino, Spears says

Three days from December, the Cowboys answered their first questions about their December struggles.

“Aw, I don’t know, man,” defensive end Marcus Spears said with a half-smile. “It must be we got a curse of the Bambino or something. I really don’t know, man.”

That curse has some staying power. The Cowboys are 23-39 in December over the past 15 years.

“Struggling in December? We’re 5-6. We’ve been struggling a little bit already," Spears said. "We need to play good football. We need to play games and win games. It doesn’t matter whether it’s in the beginning or the end, you need to win enough to get to the postseason. So that’s what we’re focused on.”
