The odds are still against the Cowboys making a late-season playoff run because of their inconsistent play through the first 11 games.
But the Cowboys (5-6) still have a chance, especially if they get back to .500 with a win against the Eagles on Sunday. Even now they are just one game out of the final wild-card spot and two games behind the Giants in the NFC East standings with five games to go.
According to Pro Bowl linebacker DeMarcus Ware, as long as the Cowboys have a chance they will fight to the end, just as they have down in games this season when they have battled back from huge deficits.
"We have a no-give up mentality," Ware said. "You see we are playing when we are down. We are not giving up."
