Cowboys bracing for cold weather in Washington

The long-term weather forecast calls for a chilly Sunday night in Washington and Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said he plans to have players “get out there and mix it up” Wednesday, when D-FW temperatures are not expected to exceed 40 degrees, to prepare themselves. Another issue, he said, will be selecting the proper gear on game day.

“We’ll tell guys to get out there early and get comfortable with what they’re wearing (to stay warm). Ultimately, you don’t want your equipment to beat you,” Garrett said. “You want to make sure your equipment is right so you can focus on playing and coaching football.”
