Cowboys release Vince Agnew to claim CB off waivers

The Cowboys made several roster moves Tuesday. Among them, they released cornerback Vince Agnew, who played four games after being signed from the practice squad Nov. 10.

They waived Agnew to make room for cornerback Michael Coe, who was claimed off waivers from the Dolphins. Coe was with the Giants to open the season, playing in seven games before being released Nov. 26. He was signed by Miami and played in one game before his release Monday.

Coe originally was a fifth-round pick of the Colts in 2007 out of Alabama State. He played in six games with the Colts. He also has played for the Jaguars.

Dallas released practice squad players Reggie Jones and Chase Ford. The Bears signed linebacker Jerry Franklin off the Cowboys' practice squad, and Dallas signed cornerback Micah Pellerin to its practice squad. The Cowboys have only four players on their practice squad: WR Tim Benford, WR Andre Holmes, G Ronald Leary and Pellerin.
