For more than a decade, December slides have been an issue for the Cowboys. The team is a combined 25-39 in that month over the last 15 seasons.
That record includes a 2-0 mark this season, the first time the Cowboys have posted back-to-back wins to start December in 11 years. Dave Campo coached the team during its last 2-0 start to its December stretch, in the 2001 season.
And the possibility exists that Cowboys (7-6) could keep things rolling, based on the records of remaining opponents. Dallas will not face a team with a better record than its own the rest of the season, closing against Pittsburgh (7-6), New Orleans (5-8) and Washington (7-6).
