Cowboys safety Charlie Peprah has played in cold weather plenty of times. Did it for years with the Green Bay Packers.
So he says the Cowboys players will be fine on Sunday in Washington, whether they like cold weather or not, once the game starts.
“There’s really not too much I can say,” Peprah said Wednesday in the locker room at Valley Ranch. “They might worry about it during the week or whatever, but when the whistle blows and they’re in between the white lines, I think all that goes out the window and they just play football. I think they can handle it.
It’s just the idea of playing in the cold that bothers you more than anything. But when you’re actually there and your adrenalin’s pumping, all that goes away.”
Cornerback Sterling Moore, a Californian, played last year with the New England Patriots, and he said didn’t like the cold weather. But he said you do get used to it.
But defensive end Sean Lissemore will take it.
“I like the cold weather,” he said. “I’m going to enjoy it. I’m looking forward to it.”
