Cowboys executive vice president said he doesn’t blame Dez Bryant for not wanting anyone to touch his hip.
But at the rate he’s going, “He can use my hip,” Jones said, jokingly during a radio interview Monday on KRLD 105.3 FM “The Fan.”
Bryant said Sunday night he did not know the Cowboys had plans to graft bone from his hip into his broken left index finger as part of his recovery.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told reporters that was the plan, but it was all news to Bryant.
“Obviously, we’ll have the very best taking care of Dez, and certainly he’ll buy into whatever we’re going to do him,” Stephen Jones said. “Certainly respect Dez’s thought that no one’s touching his hip. I don’t blame him. But obviously, when the doctors sit down with him and show him what they intend to do, depending on what they need to do at the time, I’m sure Dez will get comfortable with it because he knows we only want the very best for him.”

Maybe a lesson to Jerry to discuss medical issues with the player himself before announcing it to the public?
