Cowboys executive vice president Charlotte Jones Anderson was elected chairman of the North Texas Local Organizing Committee (LOC), the group responsible for hosting the 2014 NCAA Men's Final Four Basketball Championship at Cowboys Stadium.
Anderson, the daughter of Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, also serves as chairwoman of The Salvation Army’s National Advisory Board and recently was appointed chair of the National Football League Foundation.
"Charlotte is a natural to lead this effort,” Rick Baker, President & CEO of the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic, said. “Five years ago, she led the bid process to bring this event to Cowboys Stadium. As a member of the Super Bowl XLV Host Committee’s executive board, she was instrumental in the well-documented success of that group. Charlotte is a tireless advocate for our region, and I’m very excited that she has accepted this leadership role with the North Texas LOC.”
The 2014 NCAA Men's Final Four Basketball Championship will be played April 6-8 in Arlington. As a prelude, the stadium will host the 2013 NCAA Men's Basketball South Regional on Friday, March 29, and Sunday, March 31. Tickets to the regional matchups are on sale through Ticketmaster.
