Cowboys will get to see Rob Ryan next season

Pacman Jones once famously uttered, "It's the Rams, dude," in a derogatory reference. But the Cowboys' home game against the Rams in 2013 will be something of a draw after Rob Ryan was hired by St. Louis on Thursday.

Several media outlets are reporting that Ryan has agreed to terms with Jeff Fisher's team.

Ryan was fired by the Cowboys on Jan. 8 after two seasons. Dallas finished 19th in total defense, allowing the most yards in team history, though they were missing five defensive starters and two key reserves for much of the season.

Cowboys coach Jason Garrett cited the Cowboys' lack of turnovers as the reason Ryan was not retained. Dallas was 29th in the NFL with 16 takeaways.

The Cowboys-Rams game will be circled on calendars as soon as the schedule is released in April.
