Jason Witten hopes to go into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on day. For now, the Cowboys tight end will have to settle for his jersey being in Caton.
The jersey Witten wore in Week 16 when he broke the single-season record for most receptions by a tight end currently is on display at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton. His 103rd catch of the season was a 5-yard pass from Tony Romo in overtime against the Saints. Witten ended up with 110 receptions for 1,039 yards and three touchdowns, breaking the previous mark of 102 catches set by Tony Gonzalez in 2004.
His No. 82 jersey is on display along with a ball and gloves used earlier this season when he set the NFL record for most catches in a game by a tight end with 18 catches against the Giants.
